Continuing Education Conferences
OALI hosts three 8-hour continuing education conferences each year: Spring (Portland), Summer (Salem), Fall (Eugene). These conferences provide an opportunity for participants to develop and enhance their skills while making connections with other skilled professionals in the industry. Networking is a critical component of our time together. Special care and attention is given to the content and quality of the training in order to meet the statutory requirements of the Oregon Department of Public Safety, Standards & Training (DPSST) for the continuing education of all private investigators licensed in Oregon.
As a benefit of being a member of OALI, registration fees for all conferences are reduced for members.
Videos of Past Conferences
Members are encouraged to attend our continuing education conferences in person in order to benefit from networking with peers and exchange information, ideas and build camaraderie. Each conference is video recorded by a professional videographer. These recordings provide an alternative means to earn continuing education credits, although this type of CE credit is limited to 24 hours in any given licensing period. For that reason, the costs of the video recordings will never be less than the conferences. Video recording as provided on DVD but can be also put on a Flash Drive for an extra fee.
OALI Member Forum
The OALI Forum is a discussion tool within the "Member Area" of our website that provides members with a safe and professional place to ask their peers questions and seek solutions to difficult situations or cases. Members with experience can offer advice, assistance, and/or resources to help each other. The forum is one of the primary way OALI members are able to communicate with each other.

"Locate a Private Investigator" Database
All members in good standing are listed in our searchable database on the front page of our website where the general public can search for a PI in their area or by speciality. This helps members build their brand, develop their client list, and grow their businesses.
OALI Membership Pins and OALI Portfolio
Our members receive a membership lapel pin when they join OALI. Board members receive a Gold pin, general members receive a Silver pin. Each new member also receives an OALI portfolio.
