Continuing Education
Meet your DPSST CE Requirements
OALI hosts three Continuing Education Conferences each year to provide investigators the opportunity to meet the Continuing Education requirements of the Oregon Department of Public Safety, Standards and Training (DPSST). Those attending the conferences will not only accumulate the required hours, but will have the opportunity to meet new friends and have a great time together.
Three Conferences a Year
OALI begins the year with the Spring Conference, normally mid-March in the Eugene area. In the middle of the year, OALI hosts the Summer Conference in June in conjunction with the Annual Business Meeting in the Salem area. The Fall Conference is usually in October/November in the Portland area. We work hard to to keep the cost to attend low.
Being a Member Pays for Itself
If you join OALI as a member and attend two conferences a year (which will meet your 32 hour requirement), the save enough money to pay for your membership dues, plus you will have all the other benefits of being a member of an amazing association.
Broad Range of Topics
OALI staff, led by the Vice President, work hard to arrange for speakers to address a broad range of investigative topics and specialities at each conference so there is a little something for everyone. Every conference has at least one hour of Ethics to meet DPSST requirements.
Meals Provided
We always offer a continental breakfast, a mid-morning snack, Lunch and an afternoon snack, with coffee service all day. These breaks offer wonderful opportunities to network and get to know other PI's and vendors in the industry.
Please join us at our next Conference!
